Official: Arne Slot Banned from Liverpool – How Many Matches Will He Miss?
Arne Slot will receive a one-match ban after receiving his third yellow card of the season during tonight’s match where Liverpool drew 2-2 with Fulham.
The Liverpool manager had previously received two yellow cards in matches against Chelsea and Arsenal in October, meaning that the yellow card he received tonight will see him suspended for the next match.
Referee Tony Harrington issued the yellow card to Slot during tonight’s game at Anfield, following a yellow card given to Curtis Jones in the second half after a foul on Alex Iwobi.
Unlike players, coaches do not serve suspensions for yellow cards issued in competitions, which means that instead of missing the upcoming Premier League match against Tottenham next Sunday, Slot will only miss the Carabao Cup match against Southampton taking place in the middle of this week.
Although the Wednesday match itself is significant, the Reds fans prefer that Slot misses this match rather than the one against Spurs.
Even with their coach absent, the Liverpool players are very confident that they will achieve victory in the upcoming game while coach Slot is serving his suspension.
