Covid 19: Not a case of Who is Who.

Covid 19 has been known to have a rather uniform effect with no double standards to all human race. The wealthy and the poor, young and old, man or woman have been infected and either survived or died. It has brought poor economies as well as major economies to a standstill.To curb the contagious disease each person from every walk of life must get tested. Those found positive must receive medical attention.
What's appalling is that, the rolling out of mass testing at the Kenya Port Authority. Public health workers have received a good turnout since staff who tested positive for Covid 19 are quarantined at Mombasa beach hotel. The cost of staying at the hotel is being catered for by the parastatal. Even individuals who have had very minimum exposure would want their families to get quarantined in a posh hotel for two weeks.
Residents at the old town of Mombasa have opposed the mass testing initiative since they will have to pay for staying in the designated isolation centers. The cost of staying in an isolation center for two weeks is a major setback amid threats by the county government forcing individuals to get tested.
If individuals who can cater for the isolation are tested, found positive and isolated then those who avoid testing will later on infect the quarantined ones after the 14days.
The government move to remove quarantine costs is positive one it should ensure that it is implimented on the ground.
