Former Kenyan boxing coach Rajab Mohamed living in abject poverty in Majengo slums

By - - [General]

The 72-year-old was once at the top as a renown boxing trainer in the 70s

- Things however took a turn for the worse in the early 2000s

Kenyans were left to ponder on the sorry state of veteran sports personalities in the country after the story of former boxing coach Rajab Mohammed.

Rajab is currently a shadow of his former self as he wallows in poverty in the majengo slums in Nairobi, with no end in sight to his sorry state of living.

Mzee Rajam Mohammed's story is quite sad in all honesty.

Might be time to look at how we can safeguard the welfare of some of these sports personalities post retirement.

At some point in his career, he was the go-to person whenever a Kenyan athlete needed some solid training.

Despite his contributions towards Kenyan boxing, things somehow took a turn for the worse for the veteran, whose looks and overall lifestyle are simply disheartening.
