Governor H.E Dr FCPA Wycliffe Oparanya took Azimio campaigns to Mumias East and Butere constituencies in Kakamega county and Butula in Busia where he rallied support for presidential candidate Rt Hon Raila Odinga.  The governor accompanied by local leaders also drummed up support for Azimio candidates for various elective seats during the campaign meetings. Dr Oparanya started the campaigns at Ikoli area is in Mumias East where he said that Odinga was the best candidate to save the country from the mess by Jubilee government. He used the rally to campaign for gubernatorial candidate FCPA Fernandes Barasa and Hon Radoli who is eyeing the Mumias East parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket among other candidates. Accompanied by Agricultural CAS Mr Lawrence Omuhaka and Kakamega County ODM chairman Mr Mophat Mandela the governor later proceeded to Butere for a funeral ceremony of his close ally Michael Atitwa that was held at Emanga area.  Butere MP Hon Tindi Mwale was among leaders who attended the ceremony. The governor concluded his campaigns in Butula constituency, Busia county where he attended the burial ceremony of Mama Deina Makasia Kwena, who was the mother inlaw to Mr Omuhaka.  First Lady H.E Priscila Oparanya attended the funeral ceremony.
