In his address, the governor urged the National government to lock all the international loopholes- noting that the two COVID-19 positive cases emanated from the neighbouring country.
Quarantine centres.
The governor disclosed that Migori county has adequate 25 centres of quarantine. Of these, only two are full I.e Kehancha Medical training centre and St. Mary's Mabera school that has 100 people each.
Humanitarian crisis.
He (Obado) further called on the National government to check out on the humanitarian crisis at Nyora-Kabuto in Nyatike Sub-County.
On his part, the regional commissioner, (James Kianda) while flanked by County Commissioner Rotich, called on Chiefs, Nyumba Kumi and all public servants to work together to ensure that Tanzanian citizens don't cross into Kenya.
