Interesting times of impeachment in the senate

Kenyans were treated to lots of drama and entertainment by the senators when they were divided down the middle in a decision that would have taken less than an hour under cool political atmosphere. But this was not a normal debate...this involved the impeachment of one Ann Waiguru who is liked and hated in equal measure depending on what side of the political divide you subscribe to.
I wonder if the impeachment is all about the wrong doings of the embattled governor or a show of mighty of tyranny of numbers in the senate!
From now henceforth, we expect lots of push and pull in politics till the voting day. The referendum that is expected soon after corona virus curve flattens will shed light on which direction the political system will take.
Be prepared for more drama and political realignments.
