Is WILLIAM RUTO quitting JUBILEE?
By COSMAS ROTICH - 2020-05-18 03:27:40 - [Politics]
The Deputy president William samoei Arap Ruto is unstoppable one man who has come out openly to declare his interest for the highest office in the land come 2022.
He is set to run under the jubilee party ticket as per political deal sealed between him and H.E the president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta way back 2013, when they won the presidential election on a joint JUBILEE COALITION party ticket which comprised of two parties, Uhuru Kenyatta's party, The National Alliance (TNA) and William Ruto's party, United Republican Party (URP). The political deal was to see Uhuru lead for 10 yrs if they happen to successfully get re-elected during the 2017 general election followed by William Ruto's 10 yrs tenure come 2022.
However, this open disclosure of interest to run for presidency upon the lapse of Uhuru's 10 years at the helm of power, has spiked many opponents and fierce critics who do not subscribe to his leadership and manner of doing politics. One of his known critics, is jubilee party vice chair, David Murathe who has disagreed on Ruto's presidential party ticket and even went a head to refuting claims of existence of a political deal or an agreement that automates William Ruto to be the 2022 party flag bearer.
The recent political unfoldings in the KANU-JUBILEE merger is sending a clear signal on what William Ruto should do to rescue his 2022 political ambitions. It goes without doubt that, this merger is set to make GIDEON MOI stand better chances for clinching the presidency as far as MOI-KENYATTA FAMILY and the so called 'DYNASTIES' and 'SYSTEMS' are concern.
It's in this regard, the Deputy president William Ruto is left with an option of quitting as early as 2021, sighting frustrations within government and move to another political party. However, it should be noted that, if he quits by resignation, he LOOSES BIG but if he does so without tendering his resignation , he WINS BIG. The GREATEST BLESSING for William Ruto is, if he faces SUCCESSFUL IMPEACHMENT by his opponents and critics because, this will free him from the political imprisonment in government's endless humiliations and frustrations and in turn makes him ENJOY MASSIVE SYMPATHY votes from the electorate.
Therefore, I hold the view that , William Ruto will become president through CRITICIZING the government of the day but NOT through DEFENDING the government which currently he is the second in command.
