Kenyan Newspapers Review: William Ruto's Gov't Allows Duty-Free Maize, Rice Imports in 2023

On Friday, December 16, the Kenyan newspapers reported that the government has moved in to avert a looming food crisis by allowing duty-free maize and rice imports from February 2023

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has authorised private traders and millers to import 900,000 metric tonnes of white grain and 600,000 metric tonnes of rice from February to August 2023
