Of prophets and their predictions

We live in very unpredictable times in this global village. It is very easy to spread any kind of information(whether factual of fiction) through social media.
During election time, there are so many prophesies on who will take what seat and Kenyans are treated with all kinds of 'prayers' and predictions. Similarly after any form of calamity, we see men of God claiming they had prophesied and that it has come to pass.
Recently we have been treated with many prophesies on when corona virus will end and when the prophecy fails, so many excuses and explanations follow. It is very sad to mislead the gullible people on matters of such magnitude.
Some pastors have taken advantage of people being at home to harvest through on line sermons and there after ask for offering. There is no problem in giving, but let it be out of good will not through coercion.
Let us scrutinise what we are being fed on in prophesies and make wise decisions!
