One member of staff has been confirmed dead, with several others hospitalized in a suspected food poisoning at the Royal Media Services (RMS) Headquarters. RMS Managing Director Wachira Waruru said in a statement that the media organization hired a private food catering business to provide meals for employees working the Christmas shift. On Boxing Day, however, a number of employees reported having significant stomach aches after consuming meals prepared on the company.
