Safaricom has appointed the head of its financial service division Sitoyo to head the newly created joint venture with South Africa's Vodafone group that will run the lucrative mpesa platform.The two companies in April completed the acquisition of the mpesa brand affiliate from their affiliate Vodafone group through a transaction of 1.4billion shillings.The platform revenues could soon make Safaricom another giant company in the country
