My fellow teachers when you still have the chance, work hard and Smart. Age is catching up. Work so that in your old age you have something for yourself ,You are the only stranger in that school you call yours, that office,staffroom will host other kenyans while you watch.
Stop personalising things in schools e.g My employer, my TSC, my class, my teachers , my boys, my girls. They aren't yours.
A worker is like a tractor that builds a road, does it nicely BUT when the road is completed , they bring a low loader and carry the tractor away claiming it will spoil the road!! That tractor is never allowed to step on the road it built ! Same case to a teacher, You will come up with nice programs that put your school in the national map, but only one person gets the credit.
When you took students up to nationals, your boys or girls got several As. That is insignificant.
Invest in property, Being a sycophant of ua boss is a syndrome, you get Ksh 200 to spy on who leaves early, Ksh 100 to be around school.
As you teach, students should be the last friends to loose, your seniors and staff mates may set you up but students will stand with you.
Please do not forget,RETIREMENT IS COMING, when your time is up, (transfer or Retirement).Now the tractor is about to be carried away!!!
You will be forgotten the moment you leave the school gate. None of your colleaques will call you, you become 'Useless'
You may think that your phone has a problem but that Isn't true. They Forgot you.
Your relatives too will abandon you, your partner might abandon you too. But your property won't.
" You are as important as the office you hold"
Use TSC as a stepping stone to better yourself.
