The first way of being more efficient with saving money is earning more money ; I know you probably think I was going to start this article with saying just keep the money and be disciplined enough not to touch but I’m saying you have to increase your earning capacity first. Look for ways of earning more money, learn a new skill, engage in business rebranding e.t.c but work towards earning more money.

The next thing you have to do is, opening a savings account different from your personal bank account. You have to get a different account separate from your normal savings account and just put in money there. Try as much as possible to save money from any new income you receive. Be consistent with saving and if possible do not collect any atm card for this savings account. This will limit you withdrawing money and touching your savings.

Cut down on unnecessary spending; try to watch your expenses. Spend money on necessities and avoid spending money on things that are not very essential or necessary at that time. This will help greatly In increasing your saving power and not straining you at the same time.

set a target goal for each year; for each year you be able to establish a specific amount you want to save, and do everything possible to meet this target. Write it down and work towards achieving this target.

identify a mode for savings you will be more comfortable with and stick to it, you can decide to use a savings box, save with a bank, or save with other platforms such as piggvest e.t.c

Resist the urge of using your savings. You might get tempted occasionally to use your savings but resist this urge. Don’t use your savings and be disciplined with saving your money.
