The programme features Maria a girl who is so humble,uneducated and a dreamer from the slums.She lives in one of the slums in Nairobi.The show is unique from its production to timing and how fans embrace and love it.
The show was written by citizen television presenters Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla.The couple decided to invest in the story.The couple has long held and satisfied the needs of soap opera loving Kenyans through their various swahili programms.They are the faces behind Maza,Aziza and Moyo which gripped the hearts of many.
