Why are our scientists in the midst of Corona Pandemic?

As the world is grappling with the Corona pandemic, one wonders where are the scientist in kenya. Kenya is known be highly educated society, but what role are we playing to this global challenge? Why are our scientists are not actively engaging in research? We need to see our researchers taking a leading role in this.
