It goes without doubt that, Deputy president William Ruto is a smart self-made politician and is possibly engaging a master plan scheme of outwitting his political opponents and enemies. His choice of political tactics includes:

(i) Using the notion of making the 2022 presidential race appear to be the competition between the so called dynasties and the Hustlers.

This will actually be a big win for him given that majority of the voters are associated to the so called 'hustler Nation' compared to the 'Dynasties '. If the voting will be exercised based on these two demographics, William Samoei Arap Ruto will definitely be the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya. He has in many occasions proclaimed himself as a 'hustler ', a good scheme that will possibly make him enjoy massive support of the believers in the political doctrine of the existence of an "hustler nation' whose leader is non other than him.

(ii) Using the current humiliations by the so called 'systems' in the government as proximity to 2022 general election comes closer.

He has perfected this by not reacting to the political unfoldings aimed at politically mutilating him by ousting those who occupy key government positions and allied to him. This has followed the fact that, the so called system in the government have embarked to axe those who have always shown relentless support for RUTO'S 2022 presidential bid. Most of his allies holding key positions in government have in the recent past been removed and replaced. One of them was former agriculture CS , Mwangi Kiunjuri. With the latest axe falling on the former Senate majority leader and minority whip Kipchumba Murkomen and Susan Kihika of Elgeyo-Marakwet and Nakuru county respectively. The same is expected to trickle to the national assembly in the so called JUBILEE PARTY SANITIZATION OF LEADERSHIP to pave way for the implementation and the realization of H.E the president UHURU KENYATTA'S big four agenda. With all these unfolding of events, William Ruto looses his political muscles exercised through his right hand men and women who have fallen victims of the 'system'. 

(iii) Slowly distancing himself from the government activities and programs.

This makes him NOT to be part of jubilee government's failures to deliver to Kenyans on it's promises despite his position as the second in command. This is a psychological play that will work well in the minds of the electorate. It's motivated by the fact that , if he chooses to be fully part of the government until 2022, then it will be difficult to convince the electorate to elect him because of some of the unfulfilled jubilee promises. So as we cry that he has been sidelined by the 'system' , it's also good to also appreciate that, he has a hand in sidelining himself as a political strategy to crush his political opponents and critics.
