The player is reportedly interested in diversifying his business investments ahead of the end of his football journey.

The 24-year-old footballer has engaged himself in multiple personal endorsement deals, with his Nike endorsement running through 2028.

Vinicius is represented by Roc Nation and mingles with some of the biggest stars from other sports, especially those in the NBA and NFL.

The 18 teams playing in the second tier of the Portuguese league include reserve teams of Benfica and Porto.

One of those teams, Portimonense, was previously managed by a Brazilian national, Rodiney Sampaio.

The team expected to buy the player is called Amazonas, and they play in the second tier of the Brazilian league.

Vinícius will not be the first active football player to be bought by a team.

His Real Madrid teammate, Kylian Mbappé, became the majority owner of the second-tier French team Caen last July.

Additionally, N’Golo Kanté owns the team Royal Excelsior Virton, which plays in the third tier of the Belgian league.
